You might have some questions about what it means to study liberal arts at AUBG; let’s answer them for you:
What is liberal arts?
Liberal arts is a unique system of education popular in America. In the liberal arts system, you study a variety of disciplines (for example sciences, arts, history, economics, business) while at the same time achieving an in-depth knowledge in the field of your chosen major(s). Liberal arts students have the freedom to choose areas of study, professors and curriculum; small class sizes and close interaction between student and faculty is the norm. In a liberal arts setting, the residential campus and rich and varied choice of extracurricular activities is particularly important.
What will liberal arts give me?
To liberate something is to set it free: liberal arts frees your mind and gives you the tools to take on the world! Your first year is one of discovery: you’ll master the basics of communication, reasoning, research, problem-solving and theory. Above all, you’ll learn to be self-reliant, to take part in a democracy, and how to stand up for original ideas. After this world-class foundation, you can choose to specialize in one or more majors.
